Currently, the reason for low breast cancer screening rates and low cancer detection rates on mammography is that cancer cells are difficult to detect in conventional mammography because they are buried under the breast. However, with ultrasound technology, images can be accurately captured regardless of the size of the breast. In addition, unlike radiation technology, ultrasound is safer and gentler on women without the risk of pain or radiation associated with mammography.
The breast cancer screening device developed by the venture is based on medical ultrasound technology from the University of Tokyo's Graduate School of Medicine and Graduate School of Engineering, and is an innovative breast imaging system using a circular ultrasound transducer, which is being developed in collaboration with the University of Tokyo and other academic and medical institutions.

The device received medical device certification in 2021, and is currently being used to develop artificial intelligence-based imaging technology, the core technology of which is to link diagnostic results with image data collected in clinical trials, with the aim of realizing imaging using artificial intelligence technology.
